My scientific research work has been focused on the design and synthesis of organometallic molecules that exhibit both catalytic activity and selectivity in several reactions, principally those ruthenium or palladium-mediated reactions, such as asymmetric allylic substitution, transfer hydrogenation and aryl halides vinylation. Also, I have worked in the study of equiaxial deformation of low density, high density and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (LDPE, HDPE, UHMWPE).

My current activities are focused on theoretical study of storage hydrogen in magnesium nanoparticles and Graphene-based gas sensors.

My research projects have been focused on environmental issues, with emphasis on the process occurring in the water-rock interface of Earth. Experienced with both direct and indirect methods of water-pollution detection and characterisation, such as analytical chemistry and shallow geophysical methods. My current activities are part of the ongoing research in the the School of Sciences and Engineering of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico.
My research has focused on the study of renewable energy in the research line of biofuels, catalysts and other variables for the improvement in obtaining biofuels in the MS. My current activities are focused on the study and improvement of fuel cells as part of the doctoral research.
